Garment workers have blocked the airport road adjacent to Dakshin Khan in the capital demanding arrears of wages. Workers of Redwan Garments staged a protest and blockade demanding arrears of wages.
The workers blocked the road from 10.30 am to 11.45 am on Friday. Police later removed them from the road.
The blockade caused long traffic jams on the airport road. Police said they were trying to contact the owner.
Police in riot gear stormed a rally on Friday, removing hundreds of protesters by truck.
Garment workers are reportedly owed six months’ salary.
